We erected a designed independent temporary roof scaffolding to all elevations of the main Abbey. The purpose of the scaffolding was for re-roofing and refurbishment works.

 

Delapre Abbey was founded in 1145 by Simon de Senils, who was the Earl of Northampton at that time. Northampton Corporation bought the Abbey in 1958, when it became the County Records Office.

 

The Abbey is a Grade II* listed building and was part restored with the support from devoted volunteers and a £3.65 million grant from The National Heritage Lottery fund.
